Programme Overview
The SMART Climate Project is a 2-year consortium project that strengthens the rice value chain through joint implementation aimed at enhancing resilience to climate change among smallholder rice farmers.
Implemented in Karonga and Nkhotakota districts, the project targets farmers with a deliberate focus on women and people with disabilities — groups disproportionately affected by climate variability. The consortium approach brings together multiple organisations to pool expertise and maximise impact.
